Annually, IPSR always holds the BSP Investiture Rites to accept new members to the fold of scouting. This school year,  the High School BSP Investiture Ceremony was held  July 30, 2008 at the IPSR school grounds.

Scouting is known around the world for it promotes brotherhood and unites the boys in our community.  This movement is very important for all the youths because it teaches how to be responsible enough to do all the duties assigned to them. The guest speaker MB Juan Y. Macapinlac, PTA Council Pres., SY 2007-2008 was introduced by Senior Scout Bryan A. Ramos.

According to the Guest of Honor, MB Juan Macapinlac, “ Scouting is in fact an educational process but with fun. He related an interesting story in the history of the world about the growth and development of scouting in the Philippines. He added that a scout goes up an “advancement ladder” where in the case of the boy scouts - this means a learning experience from being Tenderfoot Scout to Eagle Scout. It’s just like going to school except that there is no classroom pressure because teaching and other sport activities. Mr. Amen also mentioned about the history and development of Scouting in the Philippines. Values of self-reliance, discipline, diligence and perseverance can be attained through scouting, he said.

Afterwards, the introduction of the new members of the Boy Scouts took place. The Mother Candle Lighting was led by the Asst. Principal of the Elementary Level, Mrs. Mariam Macabangkit, followed by the lighting of the three candles by the selected scouts. Next was the introduction of the new members which started with the reciting of the Scout Oath and the Boy Scout Promise. Same with the Boy Scouts, the KAB Scouts, under Scout Leader Farida T.
